Preparations for the 2022 NFL resume with 73 other players who are expected to come out on top in the second and third games.
The first round of the event was full of surprises, including all the mixed businesses selected by regular players. The drive and action in Las Vegas will no doubt continue for Day 2 due to the depth of skill that is in the record, not to mention the unused pool after Pitt’s Kenny Pickett who was selected in Round 1.

Who’s left on the board?
USA TODAY Sports’ Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz lists his remaining players heading to Round 2. It may surprise you to know that there is only one quarterback out of his top 10. Don’t be surprised to see another early run on defensive players Friday night.

Pass the mock draft removal? Here’s a Round 2 prediction to drive you until the Bucs pass the clock. Note, the first three rounds of the second round all changed Thursday night.
2022 NFL Draft Tracker: Second Choices
33. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (from Jacksonville Jaguars) – DL Logan Hall, Houston
A flexible player who can play at the end of the Bucs but makes them very fast-moving as they pass. The 6-6, 283-pounder thrower had six bags and 13 weapons lost in 2021. Although former freeman Ndamukong Suh has returned to Tampa, he is now 35 years old.
34. Green Bay Packers (from Detroit Lions via Minnesota Vikings) – WR Christian Watson, North Dakota State
The pack jumps so far by selling both rounds (Nos. 53 and 59) to the anti-Vikes. The Packers are known for hitting gold with Round 2 wideouts, and Watson has joined the team of Davante Adams, Jordy Nelson, Randall Cobb and Greg Jennings who recently left the club. Watson can’t replace Adams – who would? – but a target of 6-5, 208-pounds and a speed of 4.36 could be a dangerous path for QB Aaron Rodgers.
35. Tennessee Titans (from New York Jets) – CB Roger McCreary, Auburn
The All-SEC corner releases a second that received CBs Caleb Farley and Elijah Molden in last year’s fix. You will also recall that the Titans could not reduce Bengals QB Joe Burrow in the playoffs even if they won by nine wickets. McCreary’s 5-111, 190-pounds has had five INTs in the last two years but he is not an amazing runner in that category.
36. Jets (from the New York Giants) – RB Breece Hall, Iowa State
Gang Green continues what could be a distraction by coming to two places with the permission of the passing giants. He adds another piece to help two-year-old QB Zach Wilson, teamed by Hall and 2021 fourth round Michael Carter, who hit 639 yards as a rookie. Hall (6-1, 220) could be the leading scorer as his running of 4.39 could open most games. He had 3,526 yards from scrimmage and 46 TDs in his last two seasons with the Cyclones.
37. Houston Texans – S Jalen Pitre, Baylor
A moving DB wrapped neatly in a slot or moving box, was more than just eliminating Justin Reid’s loss in the free defense defense that is 31st in 2021.
38. Atlanta Falcons (from Carolina Panthers via Jets and Giants) – OLB / DE Arnold Ebikitie, Penn State
After leaving the Temple last season, he appeared in Happy Valley sending 9½ bags and 18 TFLs. He’s not an ordinary man (6-2, 250), but his skill – quarterback hunt – immediately transforms the team that finished (so far) in 2021 with 18 bags.
39. Chicago Bears – CB Kyler Gordon, Washington
They make their first game of the game by taking a strong corner, which they can play outside or in the slot and add a third defense in the league. Gordon, the latest in a long line of the best UW DBs, is likely to start acting out of place while former signing specialist Tavon Young remains on the scene.
40. Seattle Seahawks (from Denver Broncos) – DE Boye Mafe, Minnesota
He had seven pockets in 2021, and his first fast paced 6-4, 261-pounder’s 4.53 40 clocking in combination. It should fit snugly on the edge of Seattle’s defensive front for 3-4. Carlos Dunlap, the Seahawks’ top runner in 2021, is a free agent.
41. Seahawks – RB Kenneth Walker III, Michigan State
It is clear that Seattle want to return to kick the ball on the ground, even if they have dealt with the committee instead of having the Marshawn Lynch brand. Walker (5-9, 211) has joined three of them, including Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny but he could prove to be the leading dog after being given a speed of 4.38. In his only season with the Spartans, the Wake Forest move hit 1,636 yards and 18 TDs.
42. Vikings (from Washington Commanders via Indianapolis Colts) – CB Andrew Booth Jr., Clemson
The Vikes, who took on Georgia S Lewis Cine at the end of Round 1, will continue to renovate their high school with a masterpiece that learns ropes from former veteran Patrick Peterson.
43. Giants (from Falcons) – WR Wan’Dale Robinson, Kentucky
His 104 capture for 1,334 yards in 2021 was a Wildcats record for one season. Just 5-8 and 178 pounds, they have a speed of 4.4 but they have to break the cycle which (currently) includes Sterling Shepard, the first 2021 Kadarius Toney and earn more Kenny Gollday.
44. Texans (from Cleveland Browns) – WR John Metchie III, Alabama
Houston is battling Metchie, who, like Tide’s former teammate Jameson Williams, has come back from a torn ACL. Metchie, who made 96 appearances for 1,142 yards and eight goals last season, was able to work just before playing and improving the internal controls while Brandin Cooks worked hard.
45. Baltimore Ravens – DE / OLB David Ojabo, Michigan
Despite Achilles’ tears he experienced on his pro day, his side is the first to pass. Ojabo follows Mike Macdonald, Wolverines’ defense coordinator in 2021, back to Baltimore, where he will play Jim Harbaugh’s brother, John. And the red year could benefit Ojabo anyway if given one chance as a second student in 2020. A Nigerian native who grew up in Scotland, Ojabo (6-4, 250 pounds) exploded from 11 bags last season and will eventually bring in the essentials. water to Baltimore to go faster.
46. Lions (from the Vikings) – DE Josh Paschal, Kentucky
A three-team captain who can walk up and down the line that requires a lot of body even though Thursday found Aidan Hutchinson. Detroit’s 30-year-old third was the lowest in the NFL in 2021. A cancer survivor, Paschal should be another cultural changer for the Detroit organization that seems to be pointing the right way.
47. Authorities (from Colts) – DT Phidarian Mathis, Alabama
Tide team captain who can differentiate and close the running lanes. The 6-4, 310-pounder also showed they could reach the quarterbacks in 2021, blasting nine bags. He joins the former stars of ‘Jonathan Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne on Commanders D-line.
