Of the reports of human rights violations against children and adolescents, 18.6% were related to situations of sexual violence. This is reflected in a balance set by the National Ombudsman for Women, Families and Human Rights (ONDH / MMFDH). There were 18,681 records between January and December last year. In 2022, 4,486 complaints were registered.

The secretary further warned that the abuser could be inside the house or someone close to the family. According to a 2021 survey, the most frequently seen rape scene is the victim and the suspect’s residence (8,494), the victim’s home (3,330) and the suspect’s home (3,098). Honest father and stepmother (2,617), and father (2,443) and mother (2,044) are the biggest suspects in the case. In about 60% of records, the age of the victim was between 10 and 17 years. How to report

In 2021, 48.4% (9,053) reports of sexual violence against children and adolescents through Dial 100 were anonymous. The ombudsman’s call center is open 24 hours a day, 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays.

When the victim is a child or adolescent, the complaint is forwarded to the parent council and, in cases where the violation constitutes a crime, to the specialized police station, or in the case of non-existence to the general police station, and the public ministry.
