PHOENIX – Fans of the Footprint Center are the world’s most watched fans in a fantastic performance in UFC 274.
At the end of the event, the promotion offered four bonuses after the battle, including two awards for Performance of the Night and Fight of the Night for the best night fight.
In the evening, Michael Chandler met longtime veteran Tony Ferguson. The two men who joined the bonuses after the war were determined to fight the firefighters, and this led to a year-long drought. Chandler took part in the Performance of the Night with her impressive ending.
See below to see who received the bonus for their performance at UFC 274.
‘Night Games’: Andre Fialho
Tough welterweight Andre Fialho continues to impress with his performances. Closing the first card on Saturday, he finished his second race straight behind his terrific power. His opponent Cameron VanCamp lost the first time, but Fialho remained in the pocket and pulled back, which resulted in a better finish. Thanks to his efforts, Fialho takes his second straight Performance of the Night bonus just after his third appearance in the UFC.
‘Night War’: Brandon Royval vs. Matt Schnell
The first fight between the riders Brandon Royval and Matt Schnell caused the game to go round and round. Schnell cut Royval with a hard punch that hit him on the canvas, and Schnell filled in. However, Royval still has some knowledge of him and he was able to catch Schnell and start looking for records. Apparently, Royval broke Schnell’s neck, locked it in his deep nose, and forced the tap. Although it was a fast-paced war that was stopped at 2:14 2:14, it earned the respect of Fight of the Night.
‘Performance of the Night’: Michael Chandler
The easiest bonus to share came with Michael Chandler’s foot. In one of the most impressive performances you can see, Chandler finished off a long-time lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson, with a right-handed strike that resulted in a surprising second finish. Ferguson needed a few minutes to come out after being released from the cold from a white kick in the middle. Chandler still retains his bonus, having earned a bonus in his four UFC games. The former headliner sang his winner’s shot at a grand ceremony between Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje, and I do so, it would be hard to deny him.
