LIV Golf Day 1 Life Changes: Follow Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson in the Original Event
The LIV Golf International Series arrived, and the players set off at 9:15 am ET (2:15 pm local) and fired shots to start a challenging new journey. We will have the latest updates all day first, so come back for more information, news and analysis for the first day of LIV Golf.
Day 1 Finishes With Schwartzel Leader
Charl Schwartzel closed his opening tour with the birds to take one lead. Schwartzel is a former Masters professional and one of the 17 current or former members of the PGA Tour competing in the event. LIV scenarios have 54 holes, so two rounds are left.
Hennie Du Plessis fired 4 shots and is alone in second place, one in the back.
Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson rallied together, and fired similar 69s to follow Schwartzel with four shots.
“With the exception of a few loose routes, I felt like I was hitting my nails really well. Golf courses are tough and conditions are very difficult,” Johnson said later on the radio.
Here is a look at the last day of Day 1:
Who is Phachara Khongwatmai?
The 48-person field on the LIV Golf opener has some well-known golfers and many golfers but many others who may not know it.
One of the finalists could be the 4th floor leader with three holes to Centurion Club, Pachara Khongwatmai of Thailand. A 23-year-old boy was selected No. 133 world and regular expedition to Asia.
In 2013 at the age of 14, he became the most successful professional athlete when he won the Sing Hua Hin Open on the All Thailand Golf Tour. Three years later he played in the British Open at the age of 17, in need of a cut.
The LIV Golf Invitational Series is sponsored by Asia Tour. LIV Golf Investments, a company founded last October with the idea of sponsoring golf around the world, has donated $ 300 million to Asia Tour in 10 annual events that help expand the tour. The Public Investment Fund, an Saudi-funded independent fund, is a major shareholder of LIV Golf Investments.
Three players from Thailand are on the field and three are from Japan.
How LIV Broadcast Looks and Sounds
As with the new league, a lot of interest revolved around how LIV Golf would be aired.
For developers outside London, LIV Golf is aired on its website, YouTube and Facebook. And it looks like … a golf tournament.
The display includes a constantly changing board to the left of the screen, with players and their team symbols. At the top left there are holes left, as the gun starts all players finish almost immediately.
American golf fans who are obsessed with broadcasts with more leisure time, note – there is no charge this week with the new series, which is why there are no promotions. In circular motion there has been no form or other components to be removed from the golf course.
In terms of comments, the main court features former Premier League football broadcaster Arlo White, an Englishman, along with American Jerry Foltz, most recently of the Golf Channel and a native of Hong Kong Dom Boulet, the lyrics of Asia Tour.
Dustin Double Bogeys the 7th Hole
Not all smiles at Centurion Club. At the par-4 7th hole, Dustin Johnson swerved his car to the right and dropped his coat angrily.
He made two bogeys in the hole to fall from 1 on the ground to 1 round, tied for 15 in the process.
Johnson is playing alongside Phil Mickelson – LIV Golf put his big names and started them on the 1st tee – and Mickelson also has 1 on his first golf course since Saudi International in early February.

How Team Format Works
One of LIV Golf’s biggest selling items is its four-person brand. With 12 holes left around – as LIV follows the time the gun started – the Crushers GC team was leading 4 down.
Phachara Khongwatmai of Thailand was on the 4th floor, leading the Crushers and the whole event.
The team’s goal is scored by the two best goals in the team in the first two lines, and the three best goals in the third and final round.
The top three teams receive $ 5 million, $ 3 million initially, $ 1.5 million second and $ 500,000 in third place among the four players. As a result, in theory, one player may have a poor experience but only three good players and get a paid date.
So What Are They Wearing?
If you just look, you will see that most players do not look different from other games. Dustin Johnson and Sergio Garcia, for example, are in their common thread with the Adidas brand; Garcia with the Adidas hat and Johnson logo TaylorMade logo.
LIV Golf Player Teams are represented through the cards, with the team names and logos on their vests.
In the case of Phil Mickelson, who lost his supporters after his February comments on the “disgusting greed” of the PGA Tour and the Saudi-sponsored alliance, he wears a black hat with his jump-key logo and a black vest with Augusta. Sign of the National Golf Club.
Playing Starts on LIV Golf Opener
Dustin Johnson’s shot was shown on the radio, and he shared the fairway. Phil Mickelson is joined by a DJ, and he also hit the fairway with his shot at No. 1. And so the new golf league begins.
Live Broadcast
Earlier in the day, Greg Norman joined the venue and said, “I’m excited to bring the game of golf to life. Gunshots are just around the corner.
Climbing Early Shotgun
As anyone who has ever played a friendly golf course or a major event at a local club knows, the starting line-up for shooting becomes chaotic. They usually include a group of golf carts that are launched simultaneously from the clubhouse.
LIV Golf advanced and acquired black London cabs to transport players to the Centurion Club.
LIV Golf also released a recent video on Thursday, presented by Dennis Quaid.
