David Pastrnak’s sale is rebuilding all the fabrics as part of the Bruins sequel

After the 2019-20 season, Torey Krug’s contract expired. Bruins general manager Don Sweeney did not stand in the way of the defensive exit in St. Louis. Louis.

The following year, David Krejci’s contract expired. At the end of the season, Krejci decided to move his family to Czechia. Sweeney did not make it necessary for him to change his mind.

In both cases, David Pastrnak was watching.

“88 saw how Don treated his two best friends,” a source close to Pastrnak wrote. The Athletic in the scriptures. “There is no chance he will come back with the Sweens as GM.”

Pastrnak, 26, is approaching the final term of his six-year contract, $ 40 million. The right wings will be free to sign up for July 13. The Bruins want this to happen.

“I’ve always said I’m going to fight him, as I have done with all our players we’ve been waiting for to go on for a long time, right away to see where he goes,” said Sweeney, who works in preparation. to think that his expansion is near. “David has the same choice. He can sit back and direct the same, whether it’s Patrice (Bergeron) or anyone we add. Those conversations will be open. We’ll make a decision based on my findings.”

Money and security have ways to reduce stress. The Bruins will also not be embarrassed.

The Bruins have more than 31 other opportunities to offer Pastrnak an eight-year extension. One sponsor believes an eight-year contract, $ 68 million, would be good for both.

It is not known if Pastrnak agrees with this view.

On July 1, 2019, Artemi Panarin signed a seven-year contract, $ 81.5 million with Ranger. Panarin was 27 years old. He scored 320 points in 322 games.

Next summer, Pastrnak will be 27. He has 504 points in 510 games. Pastrnak led the Bruins by 40 goals in 2021-22.

Panarin and Rangers are in the Final Conference Final. It may not be their last.

Former Bruins boss Jeff Gorton, now in charge of Montreal, arrested the Rangers today (Mika Zibanejad, Chris Kreider, Adam Fox, Igor Shesterkin) and tomorrow (Alexis Lafrenière, Filip Chytil, Kaapo Kakko).

The Bruins, meanwhile, have one starting point: 24-year-old Charlie McAvoy who is fit to defend the Norris Trophy. It remains to be seen whether Jeremy Swayman will become a member.

In the meantime, Bergeron could leave. Brad Marchand, 34, is not ready to start 2022-23 following hip surgery. The same for McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk following various surgeries.

Taylor Hall (30), Charlie Coyle (30) and Hamus Lindholm (28) are good players but fail to qualify. Fabian Lysell (19) and Mason Lohrei (21), the most anticipated Bruins, do not have much experience between them. Pastrnak will report to new coach Bruce Cassidy, who was fired on Monday for allegedly losing weight. The Bruins’ competition window has been closed.

All of this could have discouraged Pastrnak from writing, until he had read about Bruins’ long-term health. If the Bruins see any suspicion on the part of Pastrnak to be re-signed, the only option they can choose is to sell their first player of 2014. They will not be able to allow the Pastrnak skate in vain.

Sweeney has seen the genre of the film. After the 2014-15 season, Milan Lucic had one season left on his three-year contract, $ 18 million. At the same time, Sweeney replaced Peter Chiarelli at GM.

Lucic was 27 years old. He was out this season with 18 goals and 44 points in 81 games. The Bruins had no interest in developing strength after 2015-16.

So on June 26, 2015, Sweeney sold Lucic to Los Angeles for Martin Jones, Colin Miller and the first of 2015. Four days later, Sweeney turned Jones to San Jose for Sean Kuraly with an early 2016 election. two players who did not agree with Bruins ’long-term plans.

The way the Bruins spent money on running the project was not surprising.

He used the first of 2015 to select Jakub Zboril. The following year, the Bruins recorded Trent Frederic and No. 29 to choose

If Pastrnak exits the front door, the Bruins will not have the same. They need solid objects – not a groundbreaker like Zboril or a six-foot grinder like Frederic. The system is flawed – there are no elections starting in 2018, 2020, 2022 – because of the atrocities that have taken place in the past.

“You know that you will succeed. You try to publish as much as we did, “Sweeney said of Rick Nash, Ondrej Kase and Lindholm’s first-wheel-drive drivers.” And then you expect to do and do until nth. We did well. But it is not good. Our desire is to continue to do well. So to answer your question, yes, I want to add to the future and live in depth and completeness. Fortunately, if you have become a team that has been looking to win and compete every year for 15 years or more, you will lose some things. There has been an exchange. That is what happened. ”

Lucic returned to No. 13 selection, future No. 1 and a 22-year-old defender who played 42 games the following season. If the Bruins confirm, on July 13 or soon, that raising Pastrnak is not possible, contact No. 88 will be higher.

The first of 2023 cannot be negotiated. They will also need 2023 second round. It wouldn’t end there. A young NHL player with high hopes can fulfill this package.

This is not how the Bruins want to continue with one of the most talented finalists in the league. Maybe they have no choice.
