Many people have spread on social media that there is a link between a mysterious type of hepatitis and the covid vaccine in children. However, health agencies monitoring the situation in the UK have warned that this claim is false.

Children with the new hepatitis outbreak in the UK were under five years of age and therefore could not receive the coronavirus dose.

But that fact did not stop various posts on social media about the fake call – as well as other theories suggesting that hepatitis may be due to quarantine or school reopening.

So what do we know about the new hepatitis case so far?
