2022 NFL Draft winners and losers: Jets, Ravens, Eagles get high profile, horizontal roads for the Patriots, Baker Mayfield

2022 NFL Draft has come to an end, and it was one of the books. Las Vegas saw the NFL record break, several host recruits were sold in the first round and defenders were plagued by a record of falling in the third round. There were also punters being written just before the fourth round!

There were winners and losers. Some forwards are celebrating their game while some players are nervous about what they have done this weekend. There’s a lot to discuss, so let’s share the winners and losers in the 2022 NFL Draft (see our tracker selection options along with the grades and analysis here).

General Manager Joe Douglas broke this down. The Jets arrived behind Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner at No. 4th overall, then Ohio State recipient Garrett Wilson at No. 10. They are seen by many as the best players in their ranks, and they will all be zealous guys. The Jets were not made there, however, when they switched back to the first race to select Florida State runner Jermaine Johnson. These were professional athletes who were in the top 10, and some of the top five. As he continued his amazing fall, the Jets had no choice but to squeeze at the end of the race to pick him up. New York got three top 10 players in Day 1!

The Jets also made a number of other impressive choices. He took the former Iowa State runner-up Breece Hall on the second line, who could be No. 1 back in this class, and then Ohio State solid end Jeremy Ruckert in the third round, who is considered by some to be the top solid finish in the writing class.

Lost: Rookie players

Most of the comedy shows had at least two quarterbacks selected for the first round. When Thursday night came, however, we saw only one quarter selected by Kenny Pickett heading to the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 20 total. The next quarter did not come until the third round at No. 74 total, while Desmond Ridder went to the Atlanta Falcons. Twelve elections later, Malik Willis went to the Tennessee Titans, then Matt Corral was selected by the Carolina Panthers.

To put it all in perspective, there was only one quarter cast in the first 50 elections. This is only the sixth time in a row that has occurred, and the first time since 2000. There were 54 nominations made since the first quarter were selected, making it the second most popular choice among the first two nominees. The record was set in 1975, when 63 were selected from first to second signatory. In all, nine quarterbacks were selected, five coming on Day 3.

Winner: University of Georgia

Year of Dawg. Georgia won the College Football Championship last season for one of the best defenses in the history of college football, and was well represented in the NFL preparations. UGA had five defensive players listed in the first round – plus No. 1 has selected Travon Walker – the highest number of schools in NFL history. Two other opponents were drafted in the third line, which also set the record straight with selected defensive players from one school in the first three rounds of each NFL draft.

In all, 15 players from Georgia were selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. It also has NFL records.

It was speculated that Mayfield might be able to move during the NFL depending on the missing teams that missed. Mayfield’s favorite rivals were the Panthers, NFL Media said they were the ones who suspected Cleveland Browns were involved. he continued the conversation possible change. Instead of selling Mayfield, the Panthers switched to the third round and selected former Ole Miss former Matt Corral with No. 94 all choices.

Mayfield has been waiting for a trade for a month, when the Browns won the Deshaun Watson sweepstakes earlier this season. Mayfield is worth $ 18.85 million in 2022, and Mr. Brown may have realized by now that he needs to spend some of that money. Then, there is the question of wiping away tears.

Who wants Mayfield? Maybe the Detroit Lions?

The Eagles won the 2022 NFL Draft. On opening night, he sold Titans star wideout AJ Brown, offering him a four-year contract, $ 100 million which includes a $ 57 million guaranteed. on ESPN. The Eagles were a team expected to be mixed with many receivers in the first half, but after selling Brown, Howie Roseman looked at his defense, recording 6-foot-6, 340-pounds defense Jordan Davis out. of Georgia. Chasing the ball against him and Fletcher Cox would not be impossible.

Philly was not made there. In the second round he robbed Nebraska who replaced Jason Kelce at one point. Later, the Eagles documented what could be the theft of records from Georgia linebacker Nakobe Dean. The first round of talent fell to No. 83 all due to a report of a chest problem that they think may require surgery. However, he is expected to be a full participation in OTAs next week!

Every year, there is an artistic hope that falls for foolish reasons. There is a good chance the teams will be shooting themselves for passing Dean several times.

It was a difficult week in Tannehill. Not that he lost No. 1st recipient from AJ Brown, but Tennessee has written a replacement for Malik Willis. The Liberty signature singer was nominated by the Titans with No. 86 full selection, fun for Titans fans. Not only will Willis look like a quarter in a class with the most advanced, but Tannehill is not very popular in Nashville right now. He threw three shots at the Titans ‘defeat to the Cincinnati Bengals, reducing the Titans’ defensive record. Tannehill is now in trouble, which is hopefully a good thing to move forward in Tennessee.

The Ravens obviously had one of the best paintings, and that’s because they picked the best player more often than not. Notre Dame defender Kyle Hamilton could be the best player in the game, between Iowa Tyler Linderbaum and a well-deserved start-up talent and David Ojabo is the first player if he doesn’t suffer from Achilles. He will probably miss his rookie season, but it is worth it if he is a star for many years to come.

It was not the first few elections that the Ravens did very well. Fourth choice Daniel Faalele is a bad 6-foot-8 player with a bright future in the league, defender Jalyn Armor-Davis was an “A +” and Baltimore took two strong points from Charlie Kolar of Iowa State and Isaiah must be from Coastal Carolina. This sounds like a weird way, but Apparently it is a movable support that can probably make a line in different places.

I don’t think Raven had No. 1 preparing for each team, but it was one of the best.

Patriots do not ignore your insignificant writing or what you think of their class, which is honorable. He stunned the world on the first line by taking the Chattanooga Cole Strange guard with No. 29 all choices. In the second half, New England selected Baylor runner-up WR Tyquan Thornton – who was probably the best choice for the Pats, but thinks he could have a third-place replacement.

Another interesting choice was quarterback Bailey Zappe. There’s nothing wrong with setting up a quarterback, and Zappe is a very exciting prospect, but signing him in the fourth quarter just seems like a rich thing.

All this time it has been a disappointment for the Managers, as they sold Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins and saw all their competitors perform very well. However, they had one of the best paintings.

Kansas City met two obvious needs in the first half with defender Trent McDuffie from Washington and Purdue pass-rusher George Karlaftis, then arrived at Patrick Mahomes’ new receiver at Skyy Moore outside Western Michigan in Round 2. 5-foot-10, Moore and the fastest and most authoritative player from the slot. Some see him as a legitimate starting talent.

All five Chiefs’ Day 3 nominees received a B grade or higher from CBS Sports NFL Draft champion Chris Trapasso. Kansas City also acquired two senior corners from Joshua Williams of Fayetteville State and Jaylen Watson of Washington State, as well as Kentucky linebacker Darian Kinnard, with more. To complete the recording, Leaders signed up to return Isaih Pacheco from Rutgers, and another defense to Nazeeh Johnson from Marshall.

The Chiefs team will be led by the first three candidates, but they did an excellent job of improving security – especially the second. This was a great draw.

Winner: Runners

A total of four were taken in the 2022 NFL Draft! According to CBS Sports’ John Breechthis year is only the second time since 2000 that four candidates have been nominated in the same category.

Ravens (Round 4, select 130): Jordan Stout, Penn State
Buccaneers (Round 4, pick 133): Jake Camarda, Georgia
Bills (Round 6, select 180): Matt Araiza, San Diego State
Bears (Round 7, select 255): Trenton Gill, NC State

Surprisingly, Araiza – known as ‘Punt God’ – none of the first two left the board.

This was probably the best time of the NFL Draft. As we pass the first stage, the stories of the various teams, existing players and fans get a chance to announce some of the options. For the Vikings, former runner Ed Marinaro was selected to announce No. 42 all choices. What happened next was amazing.

Marinaro started running to the interview, and the producer came out and pushed him away. Amazing.
