The 2022 Kentucky Derby post time is 6:57 pm ET. With so much to think about, you will want to see what SportsLine’s Jody Demling has to say before entering the 2022 Kentucky Derby for your selection or prediction of horse racing.

A horse racing competition that has been written, spoken and bet on competitions for years, Demling has struggled with his horse racing betting. He hit exactly at Wood Memorial in April. Last year, he hit exacta, trifecta and superfecta in Belmont Stakes. This is the same handicapper who has hit Derby-Oaks twice at Churchill Downs six times in the last 13 years. That means he took a ticket with the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby winners all but four in his last 13 trials.

In addition, sometime in 2020, he selected the winners of six straight tournaments: the Saudi Cup, the Gotham Stakes, the Rebel Stakes, the Louisiana Derby, the Florida Derby, and the Belmont Stakes. Friday, he nailed exactly in 2022 Kentucky Oaks. Everyone who has followed him in these competitions is up.

Now, with the 2022 Kentucky Derby series closed, Demling shares his choices and predictions on SportsLine. Go here to see them.

Top 2022 Kentucky Derby Predictions

One of the 2022 surprises Demling picked in the Kentucky Derby: The Disappeared Epicenter, said one of his favorite picks doesn’t confuse the top three. Epicenter is one of the only horses in the 2022 Kentucky Derby that has achieved speeds of Beyer and Brisnet 100 or more. However, Epicenter’s final finish at Lecomte Stakes in January gives the expert an early start.

“I hope he ‘s the one who would love me to get the best price on my top two,” Demling told SportsLine. “The only Epicenter race that didn’t finish first or second was at Churchill Downs in his first game.

Another surprise: Demling is the highest rider on Mo Donegal, although he is a number two shooter and will run from the inside. Mo Donegal is led by Uncle Mo, one of the Kentucky Derby champions in 2011 before the illness prevented him from leaving the race. Mo Donegal has hit the board in all five of his appearances, with a big win at Remsen Stakes at the age of two with Wood Memorial last month.

Mo Donegal drew No. 1 in the 2022 Kentucky Derby post draw, which has produced eight winners, tied for third place in all competitions, but none since 1986 when Ferdinand rode the train to win. However, Mo Donegal has some knowledge on the spot, with a win over No. 1 post in Remsen and Wood Memorial. Irad Ortiz Jr. will be on the mountain Saturday.
